Selling now for the low price of $1700.00!

Gardner-Denver feed leg drills feature a quick-detachable coupling between feed leg and drill, which permits rapid disassembly for moving from heading to heading.  Special gland design in drills permits a change from dry to automatic wet drilling without taking the drill apart.

Mechanical Design features include: The backhead which is suitable for dry, wet, or air operated water control construction simply by changing the gland and tube. The feed control, pressure release valve and the air leg retraction valve are all conveniently located on the "D" handle giving the operator complete and safe control of the feed leg unit.S63F

The drill is equipped with a straight type throttle valve giving one-eighth, one-quarter, one-half and full open positions for easier collaring of holes in all types of ground and will not bind or leak. Air and Water Connection Elbows are designed for O-Ring use, making the swivel easy to operate without loss of air or water, and the water is screened to prevent plugging the water tube.

The air in the feed leg is exhausted to atmosphere when the feed control valve is turned to off position, or when the pressure release valve is operated, which not only exhausts the air in the feed leg to atmosphere but also closes air passage to the leg.

The desired tension on the swivel connection between the feed leg and the drill can be obtained by tightening or loosening the swivel adjusting nut.

You still get the same drilling muscle and operating flexibility and the same reliability of performance and low maintenance.

Feed Leg Drill Features

  1. CONTROLS - All operating controls for both the Drill and the Feed Leg are located on or near the "D" Handle for easy access and operation; 1/4, 1/2, and full throttle position are provided for the Drill.
  2. EXHAUST - Ports are positioned to blow away from the operator.
  3. STEEL PULLER - Trunnion-type steel puller with double-taper lock nuts.
  4. CHUCK LINERS - Renewable Chuck Liners for economical maintenance; constant blowing keeps water and cuttings out of the Chuck End.
  5. BACKHEAD - Air and Water Swivel Connections; automatic wet construction is easily interchangeable.
  6. AUTOMATIC VALVE - Live-air-thrown drifter-tpye valve design assures a positive Piston-Hammer stroke; air economy results from the extra short valve stroke; large bearing areas minimize wear and provide long life without altering performance characteristics.
  7. PISTON HAMMER - Special "HAMMER STEEL" material, case-core micro-structure, uniform wall thickness, and large "air cushion" fillet all provide extra reliability.
  8. ROTATION - Powerful rifle bar pawl rotation mechanism in all Feed Leg Drills includes reliable and dependable pawl plungers and pawl springs; Pawls in all models can be reversed to obtain a "double-life"; alternate construction rifle bar and rifle nut may be selected to insure correct rotation characteristics for special ground conditions.
  9. SIDE RODS - Side Rods of selected steel are generously proportioned and treated to resist breakage.
