    Gardner-Denver's Hydra-Trac SCH2500II drill is the viable alternative to Air Trac/Portable Air Compressor packages.  The SCH2500II will deliver better performance at a lower ownership cost per ton.
    In most applications, one SCH2500II approaches the production capabilities of two air track packages and it works with nearly four times the efficiency of a single portable/air track combination.

POWER TO SPARE
    The SCH2500II prime mover is the Caterpillar Model 3116DITA water cooled diesel engine.  This turbocharged and aftercooled unit is rated at 180 bhp giving it excellent power reserve and efficiency.  Further fuel savings are obtained by an automativ throttle control based on power demand.

HYDRAULICS DO IT ALL
    A simple, single pump hydraulic system is at the heart of the SCH2500II.  All drilling and tramming functions, including boom movement and an onboard air compressor for hole cleaning, are powered by a single, pressure-compensated, axial piston-type hydraulic pump.  This reliable design has been proven by Gardner-Denver's years of experience with hydraulic rock drilling applications around the world.
   
    The onboard hydraulic motor-driven, 150 cfm screw compressor is self-regulating.  It operates only when there is demand for blowing air.  The hammer, feed, tram and positioning functions are operated by separate pressure-compensated flow control valves.  This proven control system provides the operator with the most responsive control system in the industry.
   
    The SCH2500II uses a Model UFH 12-foot change feed assembly.  This heavy duty chain feed is made of two 7-inch channels which are gusseted the full length.  This hydraulic piston motor-powered feed develops over 5,000 pounds of thrust and has a retract speed of over 90 feet per minute.
   
    The standard hydraulic drifter used on the SCH2500II is the Model HPR1-EW.  This drill has proven itself in years of reliable service.  The HPR1-EW drills hole from 2-1/2" in hard rock with 38 series, 1-1/2" drill steel equipment.  Virtually all of the dril parts are carburized and hardened for strength and longer wear.  Its basic, low-maintenance design is a hallmark of Gardener-Denver engineering excellence.
   
    The SCH2500II features a telescopic boom for larger vertical pattern coverages.  Even at full extension, the boom is strong - flexible - and quick to respond.

    Prime mover for the SCH2500II is an energy-efficient water-cooled diesel engine.  With power reserve built into the design, the engine keeps you going when the going gets tough.

The Gardner-Denver HPR1HA Hydraulic Drifter is specifically designed to drill holes 2-1/2" diameter and larger on surface drilling applications with the SCH3500 Hydra-Trac and underground Long Hole Drill Jumbos. The HPR1HA features the same basic oscillator and valve action of our proven HPR1 Drifter. This 750,000 ft/lb per min. power output machine will give superior performance with maximum reliability. Heavy-Duty Chuck-End Assembly - The HPR1HA features a chuck-end assembly, which is designed to give you maximum life, while drilling holes 2-1/2" diameter and larger in hard rock. Wear areas on the chuck, chuck driver, bearing plates, mounting bolts and other allied parts have been increased by 75 to 100 percent, thus giving maximum life under the most adverse drilling conditions.

Dual Rotation Motors - Two (2) Gerotor type hydraulic rotation motors are used with the new reliable and flexible rotation system. Rotation speeds of up to 300 rpm and torques of up to 500 ft/lb can be obtained by selecting several different motor combinations.

Reliable Grease Lubrication - This simple proven method of lubrication provides continuing protection for all of the bearing surfaces within the chuck end assembly.

Adjustable Variable Stroke - The impact energy of frequency of blow can be varied withing the operating range of the drill, while maintaining constant power output. Your operator can find the best combination of impact energy and frequency, which will provide the highest overall performance.

Improved Shank Design - This 12-spline 1-3/4" diameter shank has a 36% larger striking face and a 75% larger spline driving area for improved service life. The shank is guided by two (2) bushings within the chuck end to insure proper shank-hammer interface. Shanks are available with G38 1-1/2" diameter and G45 1-3/4" diameter threads.

Built-In Air-Water Swivel - This 1-3/4" diameter swivel is an integral part of the drill. The swivel seals are located between the two (2) main shank bearings. This assures optimum alignment and long seal life.
