Introducing the roadable
compressors from Ingersoll-Rand.
Available for the low price of only $14,500.00!

Here's an all-new line of large, portable
compressors with a heavy-duty running gear designed for highway
speeds. But the big news is the efficient air end and fuel-saving
engine, and ease of maintenance. These machines represent the
best balance of economy and performance, serviceability, and mobility
available in a compressor. They're 20% smaller and 16% lighter in
weight than previous models.
"Fast-track" running gear, tested
tough.
These portable compressors have been designed to
spend more time on the job and less time getting there. They can
be towed at highway speeds up to 50 mph (80 km/hr). The new
tandem-axle design with leaf-spring suspension system and equalizer arm
assembly makes these units stable under the toughest on- and off-road
conditions. An adjustable tow eye makes them easy to hook up to a
variety of towing vehicles, and hydraulic surge brakes and a parking
brake are standard. The running gear and package have been tested
on a well-known automotive torture track, under conditions tougher than
you'll encounter on the job. Towed by a light truck, the
compressor can move quickly between job sites, saving fuel and
transport costs - up to 50% on a 50-mile trip compared to traditional
flatbed hauling. When shipping, multiple units makes flatbed
hauling practical, an external lifting bale simplifies loading and
unloading.
Easier to operate.
When Ingersoll-Rand built these compressors for
speed, we completely redesigned the package for easy operation, as well
as trouble-free service.
The compressor oil separator has an elongated sight
glass, making it easy to check the oil level. High-quality
fluid-filled gauges are protected behind a lockable panel door.
Warning lights indicate low radiator coolant level and alternator
malfunction. The quartz hourmeter is independent of the
tachometer. And a cold-start ignition system makes the compressor
easy to start.
Fast maintenance too; access is
easier.
Ingersoll-Rand doesn't consider easy serviceability
a luxury: the high labor costs you face today make it priority.
This new compressor design makes maintenance easier than ever
before. All components are easy to reach through large
doors. Fluid drains are external. Conveniently-located
large air filters, with quick-release mechanisms for easy replacement,
last longer between changes.
More efficient diesel engine.
The highly-efficient Cummins L10 engine is rated for
continuous service at 1800 rpm; the result is better fuel economy,
longer life and quieter operation. Better low-end torque means
easier starting and improved engine response to compressor loading.

In addition to Cummin's standard industrial
warranty, Cummins Custom Registry is available through Cummins
distributors. Combined with the standard warranty, this gives the
owner up to 18,000 hours or five years of extended coverage on 13 major
engine components.
Plus a highly-efficient
Ingersoll-Rand air end.
The Ingersoll-Rand air end is oil-flooded; rotors
never touch so there's no rotor wear. Rotors are
precision-machined and then ground to a mirror finish. This extra
step assures the closest possible clearances, to minimize air slippage
and reduce internal losses. So you get the maximum air out of
every bit of fuel. The Air-Glide regulation controls output
smoothly, without steps, using 30% fewer parts.
Each air end is backed by Ingersoll-Rand's
reputation for quality and a two-year/4000-hour warranty, with an
optional self-service or trade-in program after the warranty period.
All-new package designed for
owner, operator, serviceman.
The world has no facility better equipped to
engineer and manufacture portable compressors than the Ingersoll-Rand
plant at Mocksville, N.C. Latest CAD-CAM methods prove components
and design innovations before the first prototype is begun. Then
exhaustive testing at the plant and in the field assures reliability
before production begins.
The result is this new compressor, designed for the
owner: better fuel economy,
and lower costs of operation, maintenance and transportation.
It's designed for the
operator:
more compact, less weight, and much easier to operate. And it's
designed for the
serviceman:
better accessibility, and easier maintenance.
