Eye Wedge
The Eye Wedge is a simple device for anchoring the tail sheave at the face in a hole drilled for that purpose. It can also be used for many other anchoring jobs underground.
Striking the wedge expands and locks the two pieces in the hole. Striking the dye loosens the shank for easy removal.
Eye Wedges are carefully made of special heat treated alloy steel.
